I'm having a blast with D2K and Mr.Do's artwork. It's like playing DK all over again. I haven't made it through yet but I'm coming closer. At least the first time through, there's no fire balls in the Foundry. Maybe the second time through.

You are probably playing CHD based games. When you play such games original cabinet saves informations in his HD and such saves are available as diff under mame.
