thanks for the link andy, maybe i should have said it earlier that all i wanted to play was king of fighters 94 and super street fighter 2 turbo, (the oldschool one with the Super Gauge), anyway, i have the roms but it wouldn't let me play it on 0.139, i think i have the updated rom because i have tried numerous king of fighter 94 roms, i guess i would need the neo geo bios files from you then, i also tried the one posted here and still to no avail...

Ok then once you actually have Mame open you can right click the particular games that you want to play and select 'audit' this will show whats missing.. you can copy paste that info..

A little of topic: I got a hard disk failure. Thus I lost everything :(

Now I lost my interest in MAME again. A similar thing happened 2 years ago.

What can I say, I'm unlucky :(

I found this page:
http://kmamek.iptime.org/mamev/?mid=mame_roms&category=327

It contains all the roms (bios too) for 0.139

You must try clicking in the images to find the letter where is alocate the rom you are looking for. Searching is a little difficult, but finally works

Dude, get Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image and back your stuff up regularly. If nothing else, Western Digital, Seagate and Maxtor all have free versions of Acronis TI if you have one of their drives connected.

You cannot backup 350GB of MAME roms/chds, extras, extra roms etc. with ghost. A lot (above 30) a DL-DVDs (DVD9) will be needed. Why? Because even if you tried to compress them with 7z or rar, they cannot be compressed any further (zip maximum compressions is used).

Though I could also copied them in a second hard disk (and thus occupying 350GB in the other hard disk too). In that case a RAID1 configuration would be easier and better.

What I had in mind was to wait for 0.140 or 0.141 (0.139 is buggy) and them burn the set to many DVD9 disks (about 40 or more DVD9 would be needed). But then I thought why not to buy a 500GB or 640GB hard disk? It will cost about the same (maybe a little more), but I will save so much time and effort.

But the hard disk failure got me first.
