Hi folks just a quick post to have a quick mention about non working roms.... First off : Load MAME and look for the game you want to play from the list (MAMEUI/32) All games View. To the left of the game name you will see an Icon of about 3/4 colours - Green, Light green, black and Red If a game has a Green icon it means it's a "Parent" rom Light Green means it's a "Clone/Different release region" Black means you don't have the rom set/not installed into rom folder and RED means the game just wont play AT ALL So don't bother ! So okay seems simple so far.... Big tip load mame BEFORE You download roms just check that the game WORKS first from within emulator broken roms will not work no-matter how much you fiddle with 'em although "Clones/Parents" May require each other to make one or either work. Such as Dancing Stage feat. Dreams come true. Parent won't work but clone will. this can be due to many reasons but you still need the non working "Parent" to play the clone. If you just go through the games in mame, highlight the game you want. In bottom right of screen it will Say "Working..." or "Non-Working" ie if NON of the game/clones work IT WON'T WORK so why bother downloading it ?! ie Dance Dance Revolution On left of mame is a folder list - click on one that says "Working" for All current fully working games! Game you want not there? It don't work ! Be selective on the roms you download to save yourself the waiting and non functioning roms wasting space on drive. Soon as the "Broken" Roms are fixed/dumped then they will be re-released working in a new version of mame. Be selective, save yourself HD space and save sites bandwidth costs !

How to Upload an Image For the GOTW forums:
1. In the message editor, press the Image Manager icon… 2. Select ‘ForumPix’ from the drop-down list 3. Click on ‘Add Image File’ on the right 4. Click into the Name box, and give your image a unique name e.g. sandman_image1 5. Click the ‘Choose’ button, and navigate to the image file on your PC that you want to add… 6. Once you have selected your image file, the info will appear in the box. Now click ‘Submit’ 7. Once uploaded, you have to find your image in the list. Scroll down, and browse through the pages until you find it… 8. When you have found it, click on one of the alignment buttons on the right of your image, to add it to your post (‘left align’ usually works best) 9. You’re done! Now submit your post as usual.

First of all you need a real FTP-client, there are several around.
Here is a freeware client : http://www.smartftp.com (If you have another suggestion > write me a mail) okey, now lets begin .... 1. connect to the site : ftp://bda.retroroms.net/ with user "anonymous" and passwort "doesntmatter" 2. change to the sub-directory "incoming" 3. upload the file 4. close the connection Please note: - You can not see the files in the "incoming" folder. The uploaded files inherit the "access right" from above -> and that is set that normal user doesnt see the files. - If you want to upload a file and your client says "permission denied", thats maybe a file with the same name is already there. If you want upload it anyway, just change the name to something like "name-x.zip" and upload it again.
