<p>
Lots of internal shuffling this time, so please give the latest
<a href="http://mamedev.org/updates.html">MAME Update</a> a try and
report anything we didn't catch over at <a href="http://mametesters.org" target="blank">MAMETesters</a>.

Time for the first 'u' update of the 0.139 cycle. Head over to the
<a href="http://mamedev.org/updates.html">Source Updates</a> page to
grab the latest & greatest.

<p>
MAME 0.139 is now available, go get it at the <a href="http://mamedev.org/release.html">Latest Release</a> page.

<p>
You may notice the download sizes to be ~1MB larger for the binary releases. This is due to a bit of EXE bloat
from the C++ conversion work (which is still in progress), plus the addition of a rather large .sym file. Keep
this .sym file next to your executable so that if you encounter any crashes, you will get useful call stacks that
you can report over at <a href="http://mametesters.org" target="_blank">MAMETesters</a>.

<p>
This is likely the last 'u' update this cycle, so be sure to grab u4 from the
<a href="http://mamedev.org/updates.html">Source Updates</a> page and
make sure everything is still working as expected.

<p>
Another bunch of internal shuffling this round, but also some new MCU hookups
as well, thanks to the decapping effort. Most of the regressions and
performance losses from u2 should be fixed now as well. So go grab the u3 update from
<a href="http://mamedev.org/updates.html">the Source Updates</a> page.

<p>
After some substantial internal retooling, the MAME 0.138u2 update is now
<a href="http://mamedev.org/updates.html">ready for download</a>.
Please heed the warning at the top of the whatsnew file: this release
may have some bumps in compatibility and performance while the dust
settles. By and large, however, things should be working as well as they always
have, so don't let fear stop you from giving the new release a spin with
your favorite games!
